Home/How we deliver
General contracting

Your plans, built the way they were drawn.

You've finished design with your architect. We price the drawings in detail, flag what they leave open, then manage the trade partners, schedule and inspections through turnover.

General contracting

Why owners hire us to build their plans

A price you can plan around.

Detailed estimates, with what's included and what isn't said plainly up front.

Gaps caught before they cost you.

We review the drawings for conflicts and missing information before construction, not during it.

One team on site, start to finish.

Our superintendents and project managers run the trades and report in plain terms.

Questions

Questions owners ask

About design-build

What does a commercial general contractor do?
A general contractor holds the construction contract, prices the work, hires and manages the trade partners, and is responsible for the schedule, quality and safety through completion.
Do you bid projects or negotiate them?
Both. We price competitively bid projects from finished drawings, and we negotiate projects with owners who want us involved earlier.
How is general contracting different from design-build?
With general contracting, you hire the architect and bring finished plans. With design-build, one contract covers design and construction.
Where does Knight Contracting Group work?
Across Texas, from our office in Flower Mound.
